Casa
Cielo is a beautiful luxury Spanish Villa set in the
countryside on the outskirts of the 'real' Spanish village
of Barxeta, just 10 mins from Xativa, Valencia. Only
30 mins to the beautiful Spanish beaches of Tavernes
and with easy access to both Valencia (45 mins) and
Alicante (1h 30mins).
The property which
is on 2 levels offers:- 6 bedrooms, 5 doubles and 1single
bedroom, 2 bathrooms, cloakroom, spacious lounge, seperate
dining hall, newly fitted kitchen and breakfast room,
terraces on both upper and lower levels and spectacular
views. The Villa is set in 4000sqm metres of land with
a large private swimming pool and sun-bathing terraces.
There is also an outdoor barbecue and a laundry/shower
room. The beautiful views from the villa are of the
Valencia countyside and village of Barxeta. Private
and peaceful, but walking distance to the village.
There are many fiesta's
held in the small village throughout the year, including
fireworks and lots of street processions with bands,
including childrens programs during the day and live
music throughout the night with street partying into
the early hours. Highly recommended if you would like
to sample a real Spanish fiesta.
The historic Castle
and Town of Xativa is just 10 mins away. This large
Spanish town is full of historic buildings and has an
old part with cobbled walk-ways and plenty of tapas
bars and there is also a newer part with exclusive shops
and bars/restaurants. The Castle which overlooks the
town is open to the public and is well worth a visit.
There is a bar and restaurant at the castle too so you
can stop for refreshments. The market is open on Tuesdays
and Fridays and can be found in the old cobbled streets.
Many bargains to be had here. There is a train station
where you can pick up a train to Valencia to go shopping.
There are regular trains to Valencia, Albacete and Alicante
from here. The high speed connection is currently being
installed and will make for easy access to both Madrid
and Barcelona.
Although there are
many fiestas in the Town of Xativa the biggest are the
Fallas in March, where large effigies are burnt in the
streets, The Three Kings on 5th January, where a large
carnival like procession is carried out through the
town in the evening, together with firework display
and in August usually from the 15th for a weeks there
is a large market throughout the main road of the town
together with funfair rides, processions and fantastic
firework displays. The town of Xativa is vibrant, full
of history and totally tradional Spanish with many things
here for all age groups.
